The development of traditional Chinese medical sciences has gone through a long history from the oracle-bone stage, the Shang dynasty (16th century-11th century B.C.) to the 20th century. Great achievements and innovations in theoretical study , clinical techniques and research on medicinal herbs were made in different stages, which has promoted the development of traditional Chinese medicine.
