After the founding of new China, the traditional Chinese medicine (including acupuncture and moxibustion) has been attached great importance by the Chinese government, which brings acupuncture to a period of rejuvenation and prosperity.  Colleges and hospitals of traditional Chinese medicine with acupuncture faculties or departments and research institutes were set up one after another all over China.  In the past few years great achievements have been made in acupuncture education, medical treatment and scientific researches.
