| Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing ( The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) written by Huangfu Mi of the Jin Dynasty based on the three books –Ling Shu(Spiritual Pivot), Su Wen(Plain Questions) and Huang Di Ming Tang Jing (Illustrated Huangdi’s Canon of Medicine), is considered the earliest monograph on acupuncture and moxibustion. In the part of moxibustion therapy, indirected moxibustion, like ginger and salt moxibustion appeared, promoting moxibustion to a higher level of development. Meanwhile, more books and theses on acupuncture and moxibustion were compiled.
Huangfu Mi and Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing( The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion)
Huangfu Mi (215 ~282), the founder of the study of acupuncture and moxibustion compiled Zhen Jiu Jia Yi Jing(The ABC Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion), which consists of the theories of the zang-fu organs, meridians, points,diagnosis and treatment. It is the extent earliest valuable book on acupuncture, which combines theory with practice. It is an essential reading for medical students.
