The method that needs limbs and body movements is referred to as the dynamic qigong. If not, it is the static qigong, which cultivates inner qi. Qigong exercise calls for selection of methods which suit the health status of individuals. It is important to adhere to the principle of "stillness in motion, and motion in stillness". When one is doing the dynamic qigong, while keeping body and hand movements, one needs to have a serene mind, concentrating on qi flow’s effect along meridians. But when the static qigong is practiced, the more serene and relaxed you are, the more you feel the effect of qi circulating along meridians. Correct understanding of the qi flow can help you concentrate your mind, remove selfish concerns and improve the quality of qigong exercises.
