| Indications |
Febrile diseases and invasion of the pericardium by pathogenic factors, manifested as high fever and convulsion, delirium, stroke and unconsciousness, infantile convulsion due to retention of phlegm-wind, in addition, used for cerebritis, meningitis, and cerebral hemorrhage

| Usage and Dosage |
Oral administration: 1 pill (3g) each time, taken with warm boiled water; 1/4 pill for children under 3 years of age, and 1/2 pill for children 4~6 years of age each time

| Precaution |
It is forbidden to prescribe to patients with white and greasy tongue coating, the syndrome of obstruction of the orifices by cold-phlegm, and unconscious stroke patients with the prostration syndrome. Use with cautions in pregnancy. |
| Pharmacological study |
It acts to clear heat, sedate, counteract convulsion and inflammation, lower blood pressure, resuscitate, protect the liver, increase cerebral blood flow, and treat cerebral ischemia. It also works to lower blood pressure, improve the detoxifying function of the liver, treat hepatic coma to greatly decrease its mortality of intermediate and late primary liver cancer. It is markedly effective to fever, jaundice, hypochondriac pain, hemorrhage of the digestive tract induced by liver cancer, and it may prolong their survival period.
