Cough with much phlegm, sore throat, hoarseness, pulmonary abscess with spitting of pus, unhealed sores and ulcers, in addition, used for chloasma. |

It is not suggested to prescribe to those with chronic cough from yin deficiency or to patients with coughing up blood. Use with caution in cases of gastroduodenal ulcer.
