| International Conference on Traditional Chinese Medicine for Cooperation in Science and Technology |
Wu Yi, Vice Premier of the State Council, attending the conference and delivering an important speech
International Conference on Traditional Chinese Medicine for Cooperation in Science and Technology, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology together with the Ministry of Health, State Food and Drug Administration, State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, State Intellectual Property Office of the People’s Republic of China and the World Health Organization, was held in Beijing from November 28th to 29th, 2007. About 500 participants from departments of traditional Chinese medicine and conventional medicine from 41 countries, regions and international organizations attended the conference. The discussion focused on further enhancement of international cooperation in the science and technology areas of traditional Chinese medicine.
Conference Venue
Wu Yi, Vice Premier of the P.R.C., stressed that the Chinese government had been attaching great importance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine and had been consistently persisting on the policy of “attaching equal importance to both traditional Chinese and Western medicine”. She also observed that China had been emphasizing the importance of the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine and the continual enhancement of its service to people. With the tremendous amount of support given, it was essential to train more professionals. |
