Astonishing Archeological Discovery at Ma Wang Dui

Among a great many bamboo and wood slips dug up from Grave 3 of the Han Dynasty (206 B.C. - A.D. 220) in Ma Wang Dui, eastern suburbs of Changsha, Hunan province, there were a number of medical works—Zu Bi Shi Yi Mai Jiu Jing (Eleven Meridians on the Foot and Arm), Yin Yang Shi Yi Mai Jiu Jing (Eleven Yin-Yang Meridians), Mai Fa ( On Pulse Examination), Yin Yang Mai Si Hou (Pulse Image in Critical Conditions), Wu Shi Er Bing Fang (Fifty-two Diseases and Formulas), Daoyin Tu (An Atlas of Daoyin), Yang Sheng Fang (Formulas for Comprehensive Health). These writings were of great academic value for guiding researches on the development of medicine before the Han Dynasty (206 B.C.- A.D.220)
