| Physician Qualification Examination |
The Physician Qualification Examination is required in order to obtain a license to practice medicine. The examination has two parts: clinical examination and written examination.
Traditional Chinese medicine is one of the categories. It consists of traditional Chinese medicine, ethnic medicines and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine. In terms of ethnic medicines only practitioners of Tibetan medicine, Mongolian medicine and Uygur medicine can take the examination. |

For test of the clinical skills one should pass multiple tests one by one.
The written examination takes place in mid-September eery year, lasting for 2 days for physicians and 1 day for assistant physicians. All the written examination is in the form of multiple choice, and there are no essays or questions and answers. |
