The Imperial Administration of Health of the Tang Dynasty (Supplied by Prof. Li Jingwei)
  In the period of the Sui and Tang dynasties(581~907): With the establishment of the Imperial Administration of Health, formal school-based medical education developed. The Imperial Administration of Health had multi-functions, such as medical administration, education and clinical practice. It set up four disciplines and eight specialties to train students. It was characterized by a large-scaled, rigorous exam system and complete curriculum. It was the earliest medical school in the world.
